Offset Printing

Versatile solutions for precise printing

Offset Printing Capabilities

Commercial print jobs require the perfect design, colors, copy, and layout. And most importantly, you must choose the right printing process for the job. Depending on quantity,  and despite the affordable price, offset printing produces very high-quality images and accurate color. Our print experts will help you determine when to use offset printing.

Printing Press Equipment Highlights

Spectrum utilizes a wide range of versatile offset printing presses and equipment. From Kodak Magnus plate setters, Epson proofing printers, to 8-Color Didde and Heidelberg Speedmaster presses we can handle any sized print job. We also have direct mail preparation inkjet imaging systems and complete bindery, trimming, die-cutting, and folding options if needed

Offset Printing Advantages

Traditional offset printing is produced on a printing press using printing plates and wet ink. Offset printing traditionally produces the highest quality available on the widest variety of stocks and offers the highest degree of control over color. Further, offset printing is the most economical choice when producing large numbers of prints of a few originals.

If you are using variable data throughout your print job, you may look into doing black plate changes or utilizing digital printing for personalizing your pre-printed offset printed shells.

Reduced Costs

Typically, the break-even point vs digital printing is around 1000 – 1500 prints.  The more you print with offset, the more affordable it becomes.

Large Quantity Printing

Perfect for larger quantity print orders of 500 or more.

Unbeatable Image Quality

The quality of offset printing is reliable and you can always expect clean, distinct images or type without defects.

Papers Stocks & Material

Whether you’re doing poster printing, vinyl printing, or large format printing, this printing process works on a wide variety of materials.

Special Processes

Special finishing options such as foil stamping, embossing, and special coatings are usually better suited for offset printed items.

Color Specification

If your company requires strict color adherence to Pantone® (PMS) or spot colors, you should choose offset printing whenever possible. Utilizing PMS ink colors will produce more consistent results over time
